Report gives update on Heung-min Son coronavirus risk after flying to South Korea
Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-min Son fractured his arm against Aston Villa earlier this month, which looks set to keep him out of the team for the long-term.
Sonny played on with the injury on the day, even scoring two goals including a last-minute winner, but later had to undergo surgery to fix the injury.
The winger flew to South Korea for this surgery as he wanted to have the same surgeon he had three years ago when he picked up a similar injury.
However, this meant travelling just 150 miles away from two of the worst affected coronavirus zones in South Korea.
The Daily Mail claim that the decision was made to allow for such a trip due to the injury Son sustained in 2017, when the original surgeon put a metal plate in his arm.
Son is still recuperating in South Korea, but Tottenham will ensure he follows health guidelines when returning and are confident that he is not at risk of infection.
