A US Army facility in Colorado announced Wednesday it had reached a major milestone in compliance with the 1997 Chemical Weapons Convention, having destroyed more than half of its stockpile of weaponized mustard gas. All of the nearly half a million poison gas shells will be destroyed by the end of 2023.
