Woman, 35, stabbed to death in East London home as man, 54, arrested on suspicion of murder
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 35-year-old woman who was found stabbed to death in East London.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to a property in Magnolia Close, close to the Leyton Orient FC football stadium, at around 11.50am today to reports of concern for residents’ welfare.
Medics from London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance also attended and found the woman with suspected stab wounds.
Despite treatment she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 54-year-old man who was inside the property was arrested and is currently in police custody.
Detective Inspector Olly Clark, said: “At this very early stage we are treating this as a domestic-related incident and believe the parties were known to each other. We are not seeking further suspects.
“A man was arrested at the scene and officers will be working hard to establish the exact sequence of events which led to this woman losing her life.

“A post-mortem examination in due course will help us establish this and we will keep the victim’s family and local community informed as the investigation progresses.”
