HOLLYOAKS’ actress Nikki Sanderson has signed up for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, The Sun Online can reveal.
The 35-year-old star, who plays Maxine in the Channel 4 soap, is set to shock fans by showing off her “tough” side.
Nikki will be put through her paces with Chief Instructor Ant Middleton for the celeb edition of the reality programme.
A source told explained: “Nikki signed up as she loves a challenge – people will be really surprised when they see how tough she is.
“She’ll make great telly!”
Nikki originally found fame at the age of 15, when she landed the role of Candice in Coronation Street.
She quit the ITV soap in 2005, and joined Hollyoaks seven years later.
SAS: Who Dares Wins puts contestants through their paces as they are given gruelling military training.
Frankie Bridge’s husband Wayne became the first celebrity winner of the show last year, beating cyclist Victoria Pendleton and TV stars Sam Thompson and AJ Odudu for the charity series, which raised money for Stand Up To Cancer.
A rep for Channel 4 remained tight-lipped when approached about Nikki’s involvement on the next series.
They told The Sun Online: “In the best traditions of the SAS, this mission is confidential.
“However, full details will be released when the series broadcasts later this year.”
