Builders use DIGGER to dump rubbish flytipped on their construction site onto garden after finding address in the debris

ANGRY builders used a digger to dump flytipped rubbish from their construction site onto the garden of a couple they blamed for the mess.

The irate workers thought the pair were responsible for the pile of discarded items, after finding their address on a bit of paper.

They found a letter amongst the microwave, cables and bin bags dumped in the cleared chalk pit site in Blandford Forum, Dorset.

So the builders formulated a plan to “return” the rubbish, although they did not know if the couple are behind the fly-tipping.

They use a huge yellow JCB digger to scoop up the trash and take it to a house nearby.

One of the builders filmed the journey, saying they had planned to drop the waste in the front garden but went for the back instead.

The footage was posted on Facebook, with many applauding what the builders did with the rubbish.

One person said: “I would do the same if it was dumped on my land.”

And another wrote: “Well done pal, should have put it through the window.”

But others said the couple may have paid a firm to take it away, not knowing it was then dumped on land illegally.

‘I’D DO THE SAME’

Earlier this year we told how crime gangs posing as clean-up firms are being blamed for the rise of fly-tipping incidents across England.

Experts said fake firms hired out buildings to dump clients’ rubbish, costing local councils almost £60m in clean-up costs since 2012.

Councils dealt with more than a million fly-tipping incidents in England last year, up from 715,000 in 2012-13.

And it became such a burden for one council they shamed fly-tippers on a “wall of shame” website.

The borough of Barking and Dagenham in London has identified and fined 37 dumpers using the wall of shame tactic.

Council officials have also printed leaflets of culprits and sent them to homes in the area.
