The EA Sports FIFA is expanding its 20 global series platform and welcoming onboard players based in South America. Players in South America have been given a new way to connect and show their playing skills to the CONMEBOL Libertadores competition they are already familiar with.
The winner of the inaugural games will walk away with a 450 EA sports FIFA 20 global series points in addition to the majority share of the $100,000 cash prize. As if that’s not enough, they will also be named the champion of the first-ever CONMOBEL ELIBERTADORES competitions. In this piece, we shall highlight the process to follow when you want to participate in this exciting competition.
The criteria to qualify is as follows:
One, any person over the age of 16 from a non-FUT (Fifa ultimate team), can apply. And two, they should come from any South American country, namely Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Venezuela. And if they fit this brief, they simply head to the tournament’s website and fill up an application form after reading all the rules of the competition. This part should be done before February 21st, 2020 when the first phase of the tournament will take place.In this first online phase, the players will compete against each other, and only the top 32 players will be proceeding to the next stage of the tournament.
The second online phase, which will commence on March 7th and proceed to 8th, will entail the top 32 players from the first online phase of the competitions. These players will then join FUT champions after their verification. And during this stage, further competition against each other will occur until 16 qualifying players are established.
To conclude the competitions, the 16 players that proceeded from phase two will advance to the grand finals. The dates and locations are yet to be announced. The 16 players are divided into two major teams, eight on Xbox one and the other eight on Playstation4. The divide is to even the playing field since players all over the globe use these two consoles for the tournaments. At the end of this level, only one player will emerge victorious, taking the gold and the name of the best player in South America. They will also be crowned the First-ever CONMOBOL eLibertadores champion.
