Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lose their office at Buckingham Palace as final Megxit date confirmed
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry are to close their Buckingham Palace office as they start their new life away from the royal family on April 1.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to the UK before then to carry out their final public engagements as working royals.
Harry will attend an Invictus Games event with pop star Bon Jovi on February 28.
He will also join Lewis Hamilton at the official opening of the Silverstone Experience, a museum telling the story of the past, present and future of British motor racing.
Together, the Duke and Duchess will attend the Endeavour Fund Awards, Mountbatten Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall, and the Commonwealth Day Service.
Meghan will undertake an as-yet-unnamed engagement in honour of International Women’s Day.
Meanwhile it was announced the royal couple will give up their “Sussex Royal” branding with a “non-profit organisation”.
However they will keep their other titles of The Earl & Countess of Dumbarton and The Baron & Baroness Kilkeel.
Following a statement in January saying Prince Harry will be losing his military roles, it was revealed today he will retain his ranks of Major, Lieutenant Commander, and Squadron Leader but will not use his honorary military positions or “perform any official duties associated with these roles”.

Harry and Meghan plunged the royal family into a period of crisis when they announced earlier in the year they wanted to step back as senior royals and become financially independent.
A summit of senior royals was convened by the Queen at Sandringham to discuss the issue, with Harry sitting down for talks with his grandmother, father the Prince of Wales and brother the Duke of Cambridge.
It was later announced they would no longer be members of the monarchy, split their time between Canada and the UK, with the majority spent in North America, and no longer be known as HRH.
The couple have been in Canada with their son Archie for much of this year, after briefly returning to the UK in January following an extended six-month Christmas break on Vancouver Island.
