Durgavati: Bhumi Pednekar Welcomes Arshad Warsi as he Joins The Cast of Horror Film

Actor Bhumi Pednekar, who will be next seen in horror film Durgavati, welcomes actor Arshad Warsi on board as he joins the cast of the film. Taking to Instagram, she has shared the news with Arshad’s look in the film. In the post, she revealed that she has adored Arshad’s work for years and is excited to finally get a chance to work with him. She wrote, “Welcome on board @arshad_warsi sir, I have adored you for years and am so excited to finally get a chance to work with you ???? As per the reports, the film is a Hindi remake of Telugu movie Bhaagamathie starring Anushka Shetty. However, there is no official announcement on the same. Director G Ashok will be helming the film Durgavati, who has directed Bhagaamathie.

Bhagaamathie revolves around the story of IAS officer Chanchala Reddy, who is imprisoned in a haunted house and eventually, things take a dramatic turn after she gets processed by a spirit.

According to the latest reports, Arshad Warsi will be playing a negative character of a shrewd politician who creates havoc in the life of the protagonist.

Spilling the beans on her character in an interview with PTI earlier, Bhumi had shared, “Durgavati is going to take me in horror space. It is the most challenging and special film for me, as it is for the first time, the responsibility will be on my shoulders. Durgavati is something I’m most pressured and excited about. Akshay sir is a genius, I respect him.”

Starring as the main lead, Bhumi is once again teaming up with her Toilet: Ek Prem Katha co-star, Akshay Kumar. Akshay will be presenting the film along with Bhushan Kumar while it is being produced by Vikram Malhotra and directed by Ashok.
