Second Butlin’s worker snared by hunters for ‘sending sexual messages to young girl’

A Butlin’s employee has been snared by a vigilante group less than a month after another worker at the resort was confronted by paedophile hunters during his shift.

The employee is understood to have been confronted by hunters at his home in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to who he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

He was in fact messaging a member of the group online, which they used as evidence to accuse him on camera. The employee is said to be linked to the video which was posted online by the paedophile hunters group in May, according to Lincolnshire Live.

Footage shows the group accusing him before police arrive and appear to arrest him. After just a few days at his job at the Butlin’s resort in Skegness, the employee quit his position last week.

A Butlin’s spokesman said: ‘The individual concerned is no longer working for us, he left on Wednesday, February 12.

‘He had only joined us earlier this month. The police have not contacted us but should they do so we will fully co-operate.’

It comes just a month after another Butlin’s employee was suspended for allegedly sending sexual messages to who he perceived to be a 13-year-old girl.

The 29-year-old was confronted by the hunters on camera during his shift on the Skegness site, which received more than 70,000 views online.

He was arrested on January 20, before being released on bail and was suspended by Butlin’s.
