NETFLIX fans have gone wild for a celebrity cameo in Narcos: Mexico season 2 – as its show boss teases “I’d keep him forever”.
The hit series recently returned for its second outing on the streaming service, and fans were left stunned with rapper Quavo – a self-confessed Narcos superfan – made a cameo appearance in the second episode.

The Grammy-nominee played Quavo, a drug dealer from Los Angeles who introduces crack to the Arellano Félix family during a visit to Tijuana.
The rapper – who even released a song named after the hit show – is seen demonstrating how to cook the drug, before refusing to join in smoking it at the welcome home party for Francisco Arellano Félix.
Speaking about his cameo, show runner Eric Newman told Entertainment Weekly Quavo’s Migos bandmates Offset and Takeoff were also supposed to be in the scenes but they never turned up.
He said: “Those guys love the show, and I got to know their manager when they actually helped in the marketing of the last season because they just loved it so much, and they were like, ‘I want to be a part of this.’
“I said, ‘I wrote you a scene, would you come do it?’ And they’re like, ‘Yep, we would.’ And he showed up. “Now, it was supposed to be all three of them, but the music world is a different business, and so only one of them showed up, and we’re like, ‘Cool, love it.’
“I would have kept him around forever. I would do a show with him. It was really fun.
“When you get into the business of making a TV show or movie, it’s boring, you’re like hanging around all day, but he was great and I’m excited about people discovering it when they watch.”
Fans were delighted to see Quavo in the show, with one writing on Twitter: “Almost thought I was tripping when I spotted @QuavoStuntin on S2 of @NarcosNetflix Mexico.”
Another tweeted: “OMG here I am enjoying #Narcos and all of a sudden Quavo pops up. I was not ready.”
A third added: “Bruuhhh. They got Quavo doing a cameo on #NarcosMexico2 pretty cool. #stirfry #narcos.”
