THE Power universe has dropped a trailer for all four spin-off series – claiming the saga will ‘never end’.
The hit Starz series came to an end earlier this month after six seasons, but fans have four separate spin off shows to sink their teeth into.
As well as Power Book II: Ghost, which stars Mary J. Blige, there is Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Power Book IV: Influence, and Power Book V: Force.
The moody trailer features voiceovers from the characters who will feature in the new shows, including Tariq crying out for his mother to tell the police she wasn’t the one who killed his dad, James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick.
Meanwhile a podium baring the name of dodgy politician Rashad Tate is also seen before the names of all four shows flash up on screen.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan and is a prequel to Power set in the 1990s.
It will chronicle the early years of Kanan Stark, played in Power by executive producer Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson.
Meanwhile Power Book IV: Influence will focus on Rashad Tate, the dodgy politician played by Larenz Tate in the original show.
The third spin-off will be Power Book V: Force, which will follow Tommy (played by Joseph Sikora) as he “cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good”.
As the third, fourth and fifth shows were announced, Starz President and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said: “In television history, only a select few shows have inspired four consecutive series extensions, launched into active production and development at the same time.
“These new and exciting chapters will continue the journey of some of Power’s most controversial characters while featuring a growing ensemble of complex, distinct characters along with the high-octane drama that set Power in a class of its own.”
Meanwhile show runner Courtney Kemp recently revealed how the character Joe Proctor almost got his own spin-off show too, but it was scrapped for other projects.
Power is available to watch on Netflix in the UK and aired on Starz in the US.
