A man repeatedly stamped on his pregnant girlfriend’s face after they go into an argument on his birthday, a court heard.

Lisa Bean, 18, was six weeks pregnant when she was violently attacked by boyfriend Esa Aymer, 22, after he surprised her with a trip to see the Dolly Parton musical in London’s West End, jurors were told.

She was left bloodied and confused with his trainer mark imprinted on her face when she told Aymer she wanted to return home to sleep after the show last May.

Ms Bean said the alleged attack could have been triggered by a conversation about her parents who disapproved of their relationship.

He is accused of attacking her in an archway near Waterloo station as she lay helpless on the floor.

Ms Bean eventually managed to get help from a London bus driver about to finish his shift, the Old Bailey heard.

Ms Bean gave evidence from behind a screen at the court where her attacker denied the assault on Monday.

She said: ‘He got his head and whacked it against mine. It was a strong force, it left me feeling dizzy. I was very confused as to why it actually did happen.

‘I was like “what did you do that for?”

She added: ‘While I was on the floor, he just kicked me in my head.

‘He was throwing punches as well and then he was clenching his fists.

‘I was pleading to him not to hit me.

‘He was telling me about how he used to love me but now he hates me, how he used to love me so much and he listed everything I had done wrong.’

She continued: ‘He was wearing Air Force trainers. It had a very thick rubber sole.

‘He kicked me until I was bleeding from my head. My nose was bleeding and I could barely stand.

‘He kicked me so hard my earrings fell out, everything fell out and I was crawling on the floor when I spotted the bus.

Aymer, of Islington, north London, denies assault causing actual bodily harm.

The trial continues.
