Report: Why Oliver Skipp has not been allowed to head out on loan
Tottenham Hotspur have loaned out a number of their highly rated players during the January transfer window.
Timothy Eyoma, Kyle Walker-Peters, Jack Clarke, Armando Shashoua and Brandon Austin are among the players who have headed out for the remainder of the season for a taste of first team football.
One player who is yet to head out of the North London exit to further his footballing education is Oliver Skipp.
The 19-year-old academy product was given his Premier League debut by former manager Mauricio Pochettino and has played just twelve minutes of top flight football so far this season (transfermarkt).
The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has claimed that the reason why Skipp has not departed the Champion League finalists on loan is due to the fact that he would need to sign a new contract before he is allowed.

Opinion
With the likes of Eric Dier, Tanguy Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Gedson Fernandes ahead of him in the pecking order; a loan move for Skipp would have been beneficial.
A few minutes here and there is doing nothing to help progress his career.
