Report: When Spurs’ new signings need to be registered by to face Man City
With just over a day left in the transfer window, clubs across Europe are scrambling to get deals over the line.
Tottenham could be busy in the final hours of the transfer window with the club said to be keen on adding a striker to replace the injured Harry Kane (Calcio Mercato).
Premier League clubs will have to complete all their transfer dealings before 11 pm on Friday when the window shuts or or 01:00 on 1 February if they submit a deal sheet.
However, if Spurs wish to have the players available for the clash against Manchester City on Saturday, then they reportedly have to complete it even earlier.
The Premier League have revealed that clubs will have to register players by 12 noon on tomorrow 11 hours before the deadline, in order for them to be eligible for selection this weekend, according to league rules.
This means that Spurs could face the prospect of taking on City without an out and out striker if they push the deal until too late on deadline day.

Daniel Levy famously likes to push things until the last moment in order to get the best possible deal for the club. So I fear that we might not have a deal for a striker done before the match on Saturday. We desperately need a focal point up front if we are to have any chance against Man City.
