My son is furious after he found out his mum cheated by reading my messages
DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER borrowing my phone to play a game, my son clicked on WhatsApp messages to my wife.
He read everything I’ve said about an affair she’s had.
We have two girls together, aged 14 and 11, and a boy who’s 12.
I am 43, while my wife is 41 and has a great job in project management.
Last year she was away “for work” over some weekends, which had never happened before.
I found hotel bills that were clearly for two people.
When I confronted her, she admitted to a fling with a colleague.
I wrote to her on WhatsApp because she was away yet again, saying what I thought we could do to save our marriage. I still love her.
That’s what our son found.
Now all the children know and are furious.
