Lampard will ask even more from Hudson-Odoi after best Chelsea performance since injury return
FRANK LAMPARD reckons Callum Hudson-Odoi has plenty more in his locker after a match-winning display against Nottingham Forest.
The England winger, 19, scored the first goal and teed up Chelsea’s second to mark a high point since coming back from a five-month injury lay off.
Boss Lampard said: “It’s been an interesting twelve months for him considering how young he is, when you take that into account.
“Last year everyone was talking about him for different reasons. He then got a terrible injury, he came back very early and when he did come back there were issues getting him tip top.
“When you are a player of speed and sharpness that’s your one of your main weapons. When you have had an injury that severe that weapon is held back.
“There is a lot of strength work he needs to do, generally because he is young but also because of the injury.
“So there’s more to come from him. It was a nice step forward for him today. Next time it will be ‘can you do more? Can you do this, can you do that?”

Lampard also admitted that returning loan midfielder Danny Drinkwater could be heading straight back out the door again but that unsettled striker Olivier Giroud stays put – for now at least.
Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi admits the two VAR decisions which went against his team could not mask the huge gulf in class with Chelsea.
Lamouchi defended the ten changes to his line up and revealed the Cup plays second fiddle to his pursuit of promotion to the Premier League.

He said: “Honestly the VAR with the penalty and goal didn’t change the result. Chelsea was on a much different level.
“I made a lot of changes because we do not have chances to win the FA Cup and we want the league. With where I am now the goal is not to focus on the cup but the league.
“The fans, the club, the community want to come back in the Premier League. Twenty one years is too long.”
