Henry’s Avalanche Talks come back to Val d’Isere
HAT started back in the 1990’s with weekly avalanche awareness talks in Val d’Isere given in Dicks T Bar thanks to the initiative from Henry Schniewind and support from Dick Yates Smith.
This season we are bringing the talks back to Val, all new and improved. But this time in the Hotel Galise (above The Alex Bar) We are doing two versions of the talks, one focuses on The Essentials and provides a decision framework and checklist to manage risk and stay safe and the second one goes in-depth with the latest theories on how and why avalanches get triggered.

You can come and meet us in the Alex Bar (under The Galise) from 1700 before the talk to get a drink or meet us in the Alex bar after the talk for a drink and a chat
