Second teenager shot at north London chicken shop in just one week

A second teenager has been shot at a chicken shop in north London in just one week.

Emergency services were called to the fast-food restaurant Roosters Piri Piri, close to Turnpike Lane, at around 8.30pm on December 12.

Inside the shop, they found a teenager with a gunshot wound and he was immediately rushed to hospital.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: ‘Officers, including firearms officers, attended. A male was found suffering from a gunshot injury.

‘He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

‘There have been no arrests and enquiries continue. A section 60 order has been authorised.’

The incident comes just one week after a boy, 17, was gunned down just yards from the same chicken shop on December 5.

He was found by emergency services fighting for his life and dramatic pictures showed him being given CPR inside the takeaway.

The boy was then rushed to a major trauma centre.
