EastEnders bosses tease huge secret formed after Sharon and Keanu’s affair is exposed

EASTENDERS bosses have teased an explosive new secret that will be formed after Sharon and Keanu’s affair is exposed on Christmas Day.

With Phil Mitchell set to discover the secret that Keanu is the father of Sharon’s unborn baby things are going to take a dramatic twist when a new, much bigger secret happens.

The official spoilers for the soap say: “More than one family is torn apart following the past events of Christmas Day and despite Walford’s biggest secret being exposed; an even bigger has now formed.

“Only a handful of people know the truth and whether or not it will remain hidden, only time will tell. One thing is certain however, if it ever did come out, the consequences would be catastrophic….”

The festive episode is going to see Phil and Sharon go head to head over her affair with Keanu Taylor in explosive scenes.

The Mitchell hardman – who is played by Steve McFadden in the BBC soap – is going to explode with fury at his wife after discovering she cheated on him with Keanu and her baby isn’t his own.

With the help of his son Ben, Phil discovers what really went on and puts a vicious revenge plan into action that will rip more than one family apart – and leave Sharon and Keanu’s lives in tatters.

But while Phil will let his rage free, pregnant Sharon won’t just sit back and take it – she’s going to fight back in dramatic scenes.

Soap legend Letitia Dean said: “The scenes are so tense, all I’ll say is that it’s EastEnders at Christmas so it’s very dramatic – Phil is at his angriest and we see the fighter in Sharon, it was a fantastic dynamic to play.”

She also revealed that there’s nothing Sharon won’t do to protect her baby – and even Keanu from Phil’s wrath.

The actress added: “Sharon’s already gone to great lengths to protect her secret; she kidnapped Keanu, she chased Mel to the airport, and she’s lied to everyone around here.

“If she was pushed even further, I don’t think there’s anything she wouldn’t do to protect herself, her baby and even Keanu.”

As for how the secret is revealed she was tight-lipped, but The Sun Online can confirm Phil discovers it before Christmas and keeps it to himself until the family lunch.

She added: “Well, Sharon has no idea that Phil knows, she’s been slaving away getting everything ready for Christmas dinner. Then, from nowhere Phil confronts her.

“Obviously, Phil explodes and all hell breaks loose at No. 55, Sharon finds herself with nowhere to hide. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there are some twists and turns that Sharon definitely didn’t see coming… and neither did I (laughs).”
