The Chicago Bears are in the midst of a quarterback quandary. Mitch Trubisky has disappointed for the most part in 2019. After such a promising second year last season which included a Pro Bowl alternate nod, the 25-year old has gone through some pretty rough stretches. Hope remains though as he comes off his best game of the season in Detroit with 338 yards and three touchdown passes. However, some still believe this is merely a mirage. Matt Miller is one of them.
ESPN analyst and former executive Louis Riddick already claimed that this game was merely a trap. One of those occasional good performances he’ll have only to return back to his inconsistent form the next week. This is why people are warning to wait and see what happens through December against several good teams like Dallas, Green Bay, Kansas City, and Minnesota. That will reveal who he really is.
Miller, a top draft expert and Bleacher Report analyst released his recent mock draft which covered the first three rounds. The Bears held the 49th and 50th picks in the 2nd round. Both in his eyes are spent on the offensive side of the ball, and the first one? That goes for a new quarterback.

Opinions on Fromm are mixed to this point. While there’s no question the Georgia quarterback has been highly successful in his college career, some wonder if he has the physical tools to hold up in the NFL. He’s not the biggest guy. Nor does he have the strongest arm. However, neither of those things is what makes him special in Miller’s mind. He wrote what separates the kid from others in this class back in July.

He beat out two 5-star recruits (Jacob Eason and Justin Fields) to win and keep the starting job while earning praise from teammates, scouts and coaches along the way. His poise and a quiet toughness are already exciting NFL teams as he heads into his third season in Athens.
Seeing Fromm in person against LSU last October highlighted his potential for struggles—on a hot, loud day in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he had the worst contest of his career while completing 47.1 percent of his passes and watching Georgia’s national-title hopes fall apart.
But how Fromm handled himself after that, including in a 301-yard, three-touchdown performance in the SEC title-game loss to Alabama, showed NFL scouts he had the resiliency and football IQ the position demands.”
The belief is that Fromm is the most pro-ready quarterback in the 2020 draft class. Somebody who can step in right away and have success. Provided he has help around him of course. Given how much GM Ryan Pace seems to love Georgia prospects, this is hardly a stretch. It all comes down to how ready he is to either push or flat out move on from Trubisky.
