A father dumped his young son by the side of the road after disowning him over fears he was gay, police say.
Evenaud Julmeus, 30, is said to have ditched sobbing the child – aged under 18 – without food or water in Haines City, Florida, on Sunday.
Julmeus reportedly told the youngster to pack his bags so he could take him to the local police department, where officers there would find him a new home.
He was then dumped outside the PD, which was closed at the time, with an officer who interviewed the boy afterwards saying the youngster was extremely distressed.
The child said Julmeus accused him of being gay after ‘watching male pornography on his cell phone.’

He is further accused of failing to inform officials of his plans to disown his son.
The vulnerable youngster was spotted after he was ditched by a bystander, who called police.
His mother went looking for him after realizing what Julmeus had done, Spectrum9 reported.
Julmeus fled the family’s house while she was out, before police arrived, leaving two other children unsupervised.
He was charged with three counts of negligent child abuse, and made his first court appearance on Tuesday.
