Facial recognition scanners have been launched in all metro stations across central China's Zhengzhou city on December 3.
In the video, a man scanned his face in front of a facial recognition device in order to make the station gate open.
In September, Line 1 and Line 14 of the Zhengzhou Metro started to use face-scanning check-in service and it has now been applied to all metro stations in the city.
Commuters can register and open the face-scanning service on Zhengzhou Metro's official app. Once they scan their faces to enter the subway, the fare will be automatically deducted from the -set payment method.
Zhengzhou is the first Chinese city to use the face-scanning check-in service in the metro.
