JOE GOMEZ’S second cousin is on course to become the next Jamie Vardy.
Enfield Town striker Muhammadu Faal – whose father is the cousin of the Liverpool and England star’s father Augustus – is being eyed up by several Premier League sides.
SunSport understands Norwich, Watford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Sheffield United have all taken an interest in the 22-year-old after impressing in the seventh tier of English football.
Faal has scored 18 goals in 19 games so far this campaign – as well as bagging nine assists.
And if he continues to fire in the goals, it will not be long before he joins relative Gomez – born just two months apart – in the top flight.
It really would be a Vardy-esque rise through the ranks for the young forward.
Faal began his career in Italy with Serie C side L’Aquila as an 18-year-old, making five senior appearances.
He then enjoyed a series of free transfers to non-league sides Dulwich Hamlet, Kingstonian FC and then Enfield.
