A MUM has created a Grinch-themed Christmas tree which is so lifelike people have said it’s ‘too scary’.
As Christmas approaches one mum decided to pull out all the stops for her tree decoration, and took inspiration from classic character, The Grinch.
She covered her huge tree in decorations and flashing lights – but the crowning glory is a life-size Grinch wrapped around her tree.
She cleverly used Santa hats for feet and a Grinch mask for the face, adding in his signature hairy hands.
To finish it all off she covered her tree in red and green baubles and added a Grinch plate at the bottom of the trunk, nicknaming her creation ‘The Grinch Stole My Tree’.
Sharing her tree online, she said: “Well here’s my Grinchmas tree.
“May of took 3 hours but I’m in love. Thanks to my mum I can’t take all the credit.”
She shared her formidable tree to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains, where it’s racked up more than 16,000 likes.
People have praised her DIY skills – but said it’s almost too good as the tree looks ‘scary’.
Commenting online, one person said: “I have Christmas tree jealousy right now.”
Another wrote: “Very clever but I couldn’t sit in the room with that at night.”
A third commented: “Wicked love it.”
This person said: “Oh my god I want it!! Love the Grinch.”
This woman thought: “Nicely done but too scary.”
While someone else added: “That looks amazing! Well done.”
And this woman reveals she put scented sticks on her radiators to make her house smell festive.
Meanwhile parents are raving about 3D felt Christmas tree which they say keeps kids entertained for hours.
