Belfast now lie in third place with 22 points from 17 games, one point behind the Glasgow Clan in first place with 23 points from 18 games.
Shane Owen started in the Belfast net, posting an impressive 41 saves, with the Giants missing Andrew Dickson and Curtis Hamilton.
Just as in Saturday’s encounter – the Giants opened the scoring in Cardiff on the powerplay. Pat Mullen fed the puck to Jordan Smotherman whose shot rebounded off Ben Bowns and into the path of Ben Lake who cooly slotted home at 7:09.
The Devils hit back with a powerplay goal of their own at 14:43 when Joey Martin’s pass across the face of the Giants goal was hammered home by Mike McNamee.
It was the visitors who would strike the next blow. Curtis Leonard shipped the puck to Patryk Wronka on the blueline with the forward turning and firing past Bowns in the Cardiff goal at 30:01.
Brian Ward extended the Giants lead right at the end of the middle period. David Goodwin skated the puck behind the goal and provided a classy assist for Ward to slot low between Bowns pads at 39:47.
Belfast rounded off the scoring to take a three goal lead early in the final period when Bobby Farnham found Liam Reddox all alone in the Cardiff zone and he finished well when one-on-one with Bowns at 43:58.
