Men's 8:

The Men's 8XI started the game against Harrogate 6s strongly with some good passing play to open the game with some great chances created to keep Harrogate in their own half. After a strong initial 10 mins, a few substitutions took place to bring Tom Broderick and Oli Graham into play. The pair drove into the D and shot on target forcing a strong save by the keeper. Oli Graham continued a strong start to the game by putting the ball through the legs of the keeper from close range after Harrogate failed to clear making it 1-0 Leeds. Another goal followed after some good link up play between Oli Graham and Abdul Rahman that was then put into the the far corner by Oli to get his second goal of the game, shortly before the half time whistle blew.

Leeds started the second half of the game strongly after a lovely ball from the Oli Graham found the run of Jas Sandhu at the far post to deflect home. Oli Graham then completed his Hat-Trick for the day after a pass to the top D from Lewis Francis before beating the man at the top of the D and slotting it home near post. The fifth goal for Leeds quickly followed after Lewis Francis picked up the ball on the 23, before driving the the edge of the D where he was met by the keeper. Lewis slotted it underneath the diving keeper to make it 5-0 Leeds. It was now Harrogate’s turn to attack. After some short corners and some good saves by the defence, Leeds managed to keep their clean sheet, something now prized by keeper Jon Jackson. The game was then brought to a close after some good hassling by Toby Green on the Harrogate back line who managed to pick up the ball deep in the Harrogate half of score the 6th goal of the day. Final score 6-0 to the 8XI.
