WikiLeaks convinces OPCW of forgery data on chemical attack in Syria

WikiLeaks has published a letter to Robert Fairweather, one of the members of the OPCW mission in Syria, to the head of the organization’s cabinet. In the message, he notes that his colleagues are distorting information about what happened.

So, according to the author of the letter, in the edited version of the organization’s report, information was provided selectively. False findings were also reported in separate conclusions.

As an example, he cites an edited part of the report, which states that the investigating mission has evidence of the use of chlorine in a chemical attack. At the same time, the author emphasizes that only small particles of the substance, which can be found in ordinary bleach, were discovered. He calls such a substitution of concepts hypocrisy.

As noted in the original version of the report, the mission did not find sufficient evidence that there was a poisonous substance in the balloons found at the site of the “attack”. However, from the edited version, this part is missing.

In addition, the author points out that the commission’s comments on the symptoms of the victims, which were different from those that can be observed with chemical poisoning, were deleted from the new version of the report.
