How to Watch the 2019 American Music Awards Sunday
The American Music Awards, the world’s largest fan-voted award show, airs live Sunday, Nov. 24 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. It will be tape delayed for the West Coast, airing at 8 p.m. PT. The show will not be streaming online.
The awards ceremony this year will feature performances from some of today’s biggest hit-makers, like Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Halsey, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Jonas Brothers, Green Day, Due Lipa, Toni Braxton and more.

Among the fan-voted awards are those honoring the best in the musical genres of Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Adult Contemporary, Contemporary Inspirational, Latin, EDM and Soundtrack. Other categories include Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Tour of The Year, Favorite Social Artist and Favorite Music Video. The nominations are based on “key fan interactions as reflected on Billboard.com,” according to a release. Those include streaming, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, social activity and touring.
The show is produced by dick clark productions and will be hosted by Ciara. Sponsors include Dolby, T-Mobile and Wells Fargo.
Mendes and Cabello will perform their No. 1 collaborative hit “Señorita,” which they’ve previously performed at other events this year, like MTV’s Video Music Awards.
