My bloke stays out all night while I’m left crying at home with our baby daughter
DEAR DEIDRE: MY bloke has started staying out all night. I’ve just had our daughter and I’m sitting here feeding her and in tears.
He works in a bar and texted one night to say he would be home by midnight, but there was no sign of him by eight the next morning.
I messaged friends to see where he was and a girl he works with replied saying he was there and had stayed over as he was so drunk he’d passed out on her sofa.
He finally appeared after work the next evening and said I was a drama queen and making a fuss over nothing. He never said sorry and went out with the same girl the next evening.
I was so upset he has agreed to stop seeing her but she pops up everywhere. I feel so jealous and paranoid.
I am 22 and he is 24. I want to spend the rest of my life with him but feel I can’t with this other girl in his life.

DEIDRE SAYS: He clearly hasn’t begun to understand the demands of being a parent and is probably feeling scared.
Tell him you understand life has changed for both of you but running away from it just makes things worse.
Help him bond with his daughter. Give him the book Commando Dad by Neil Sinclair to boost his confidence.
