Damion Lee has a non-displaced hand fracture
He’ll be off the court for at least two weeks.
Apparently hand fractures run in the family. Less than two weeks after Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry fractured his hand, his brother-in-law Damion Lee did the same.
Lee suffered a hand fracture during the Warriors loss to the Utah Jazz on Monday night. Thankfully, it was a non-displaced fracture, which won’t require surgery, and should have a quick time of recovery. He is currently being listed as out for at least two weeks, at which point he will be re-evaluated.
Injury update: Warriors guard Damion Lee suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand during last night’s game against the Utah Jazz, an MRI revealed this morning. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Lee, who is on a two-way contract with the Warriors for the second consecutive season, has been having a great year. He’s been forced into a large role due to injuries, as he averaged 21.9 minutes per game over the season’s first 11 contests. He’s delivered, averaging 10.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 34.3% from beyond the arc.
He now joins a long - and I mean long - list of Warriors who are sidelined. Here are the players currently out:
Damion Lee (hand fracture)
Steph Curry (hand fracture)
Klay Thompson (ACL tear)
Kevon Looney (nerve damage)
Jacob Evans III (adductor strain)
Alen Smailagic (ankle sprain)
And we can potentially add Omari Spellman - who missed last night’s game with an ankle sprain - to that list.
And that’s on top of the following time missed due to injury for the currently healthy players: Draymond Green (five games), Alec Burks (three games), Willie Cauley-Stein (three games), D’Angelo Russell (three games), and Eric Paschall (one game).
