Michigan State to retire Draymond Green’s jersey on December 3
The all-time great Spartan will see his jersey hang in the rafters.
At some point down the road, Draymond Green’s Golden State Warriors jersey will hang in the rafters of Chase Center. But that’s far off, as Green has plenty of days left to play with the team.
He has no more days left at Michigan State. And as such, the time to retire his jersey has come.
Green’s alma mater announced that they will retire his jersey on December 3, when the school hosts Duke. No other player will rock #23 for Michigan State.

It seems likely that the school coordinated the event with Green, so you can expect him to show up. The Warriors play the night before, on December 2, in Atlanta. And they play the day after the ceremony, on December 4, in Charlotte.
With just one off day on the road trip, it will likely be a bit of a hectic situation for Green to make it to East Lansing, but some things are worth a chaotic travel situation for.
Green played for the Spartans from 2008 through 2012, and collected many accolades along the way, including being named the Big Ten Player of the Year as a senior. That year he averaged 16.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
