THIS is the shocking moment a horse and cart carrying passengers during an American football game crashed, sending those inside flying.
The accident happened during the University of Oklahoma’s college football clash against West Virginia University.
The club’s famous ‘Sooner Schooner’ raced on to the field after Oklahoma had scored a second-quarter touchdown.
But as it took a turn, the carriage veered out of control and crashed to the floor.
A blonde lady inside was sent flying a number of metres as staff rushed to her aid.
The horses continued to gallop off.
Oklahoma Athletics said in a statement: “The Sooner Schooner tipped over today.
“We believe it was the result of weight distribution among riders in the rear of the wagon.
“Three individuals were evaluated at the stadium and released. All others reported that they were uninjured.

“Upon initial evaluation, it also appears the ponies are uninjured.
“Medical staff responded immediately as did the expert horse handlers and veterinarian who staff all games.
“We are grateful that the injuries were not serious and for the staff members who responded so well.”
