How to order a pumpkin birthday cake latte at Starbucks – and it’s not even on the menu

IT seems that it isn’t really autumn until there are Pumpkin Spiced Lattes at Starbucks – but a PSL with a twist has been discovered by intrepid shoppers, and it’s not even on the menu.

The Pumpkin Birthday Cake Latte is meant to taste like a birthday cake mixed with pumpkin spice and is available only if you know what to order.

You can only get this drink when Starbucks is stocking their pumpkin spice syrup – but it is in stores now so it should be available.

To order the Pumpkin Birthday Cake Latte, ask for a Pumpkin Spice Latte as usual, but request that two of the pumpkin syrup pumps are swapped out for one pump of vanilla and a pump of hazelnut.

A PSL usually has four pumps of pumpkin syrup, so this way you’re getting two shots of pumpkin, one vanilla, and one hazelnut.

Bustle, which discovered the drink, recommends adding some spice or sprinkles on top for the full birthday cake effect.

You can pretty much hack any drink to your own taste – Starbucks staff are pretty used to people coming in and asking for all sorts of strange stuff.

If you don’t fancy the birthday cake twist, you can give the Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte a go – just ask for a chai latte with two pumps of pumpkin spice syrup and the pumpkin spice topping.

You could also try adding toffee nut syrup to a Pumpkin Spice Latte, or just add pumpkin spice syrup to a hot chocolate.

One Disney lover revealed how you can turn the Pumpkin Spice Latte into a Cinderella Latte by order a Pumpkin Spiced Latte and ask the barista to swap half of the pumpkin spice syrup with white mocha syrup.

Meanwhile, Costa’s autumn menu includes a Lotus Biscoff muffin and bonfire spiced latte.

Greggs has also brought back its pumpkin spice latte and it’s almost £1 cheaper than Starbucks.
