Our starts and sits for Week 7.
Week 7 of the 2019 NFL season is here, with four teams (the Panthers, Browns, Steelers and Buccaneers) off with byes.
As always, we’re here to help with your weekly decisions with our fantasy lineup advice. Each week, we give you the studs (players with plus matchups due to the defense they’re facing or their team situation), duds (players with tougher matchups or who are in muddled roster situations at the moment) and sleepers (a player you might consider starting who could be in for a big week).
Here are the names we’ve got for Week 7, and as we always say, good luck!!
He’s scored 20 or more fantasy points in all but two of his starts and the Giants are vulnerable in the secondary. Start him with a lot of confidence.
He’s rebounded after a few mediocre games and the Chiefs are the third-worst running defense in the NFL. If the Broncos fall behind — and they will — they’ll throw a bunch to him in a comeback effort.
The Eagles secondary is a mess and Amari Cooper is probably out. Giddyup.
He returned with a flourish last week and now gets a date with the Titans, who have given up four touchdowns to opposing tight ends.
The Bears own the NFL’s sixth-best defense, which is bad news. What’s worse is Alvin Kamara might not be healthy, which won’t help his cause, either.
The matchup worries me. His first couple of games back from a holdout worry me. Austin Ekeler’s presence worries me. Got the picture?
Anyone starting against Stephon Gilmore is in trouble. I’ll assume the deep threat will be blanketed by the veteran Patriots cornerback, although I do like Anderson the rest of the season with Sam Darnold back.
You probably can’t bench him, but don’t expect much against a stingy Packers defense that gives up just 4.2 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.
You’ll be tempted to bench him after that absolute stinker of a game against the 49ers. But the Falcons — who give up 388.8 yards of offense per game — are not the Niners. I think Goff and the Rams offense bounce back.
The Dolphins just gave up 118 rushing yards to Adrian Peterson, who didn’t run for more than 37 yards all season. Soooo, yeah, I’ll start Gore this week.
Julio Jones might get matched up with the newly-acquired Jalen Ramsey, which opens things up for Ridley, who has found paydirt four times in 2019.
Two touchdowns in Week 5, seven targets and 69 yards in Week 6. If you’re desperate, he’s worth a look.
