SALES of suspenders are down and push-up bras have plunged – as Brits go for comfier undies, according to shopping experts at John Lewis.
Women are also going for bigger, baggier clothes like kimono dresses and avoiding mini-skirts.

Sales of suspenders were down 8 per cent and push up bras 7 per cent. In contrast, sales of T-shirt bras rose 81 per cent and non-wired bras by 65 per cent.
Bigger Brigette Jones-style briefs were up 11 per cent.
Nancy Szachno-Dressel, John Lewis lingerie buyer, said: “2019 was the year that we saw customers move towards more comfortable options when it came to their lingerie choices. Seamfree crop tops and fuller briefs were some of our best selling items.”
