Get your popcorn and your Peptol ready, folks.
The Yankees / Twins matchup is arguably one of the more anticipated postseason series this year. Not only are they both young teams, but they both have managers that are trying to prove themselves as well: while Boone is in his second season as the Yankees skipper, Rocco Baldelli of the Twins is in his managerial infancy.
These teams are going to be so exciting to see face off because in essence they’re almost identical. Neither have particularly strong pitching rotation, with the Yankees inching out over Minnesota with their bullpen arsenal. Offensively, this is set to be a slugfest of a series. The Twins roster crushed 307 home runs this season. And just behind them, one dinger shy? Oh, right, the Yankees.
It will certainly come down to the wire with these two teams. Expect the series to go all five games, and in potentially more than one instance, extra innings. Who do you think will just edge out over the other and claim their spot in the ALCS?
