Metro is reporting that the Red Devils are pondering a fresh move for the 27-year-old playmaker, whose current contract at Tottenham is due to expire at the end of the season.
According to the same article, Manchester United failed with a bid to sign Eriksen in the final days of the summer transfer window – and they are now ready to reopen their interest.
It is claimed in the same article that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a long-term admirer of Eriksen, who was supposedly keen on leaving the north London side last summer.
Eriksen was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid last summer but a switch failed to materialise as he ended up staying in north London.
The Denmark international has made seven Premier League appearances for Tottenham so far this season, scoring one goal and making one assist in the top flight.
Manchester United are likely to be linked with a whole host of players in the January transfer window after a stuttering start to the new campaign left them in 10th place in the Premier League table.
