Chicago, Ill. The Holy Cross College women's soccer team took on Governor's State University yesterday evening on the road for their first away Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest. Eleanor Boothman was able to get Holy Cross on the scoreboard with a goal in the 7th minute. Both teams' offensives slowed down during the middle part of the match, until Olivia Shaw added to the Saints lead with a goal in the 78th minute. The Saints defeated the Jaguars 2-0 for their first CCAC victory. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 4-4 and 1-2 in the CCAC while GSU falls to 0-7-1 and 0-2-1 in conference play.
