Woman dies as portable toilet catches fire and explodes with her inside

A WOMAN was killed when the portable toilet she was sitting on suddenly EXPLODED, shocked cops have revealed.

Her charred corpse was found inside a mobile loo which had earlier erupted into flames at a building site in Florida.

St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office revealed on Facebook how emergency crews were called following Saturday’s blast.

The dead woman found inside the devastated mobile loo was “a white female” the sheriff’s office said later.

“At this time, we have not received any missing persons reports that may coincide with this incident,” it added.

Locals told WFOX they heard a loud explosion around 7am then saw the portable toilet ablaze.

“I just was sitting, watching TV and heard a loud explosion,” one neighbour told reporters.

Another said that investigators had to put on hazmat suits as they sifted through the debris.

“It blew up… so I mean there’s nothing left, at all,” neighbour Jan Long revealed.

The victim was too badly burned for immediate identification and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chuck Mulligan revealed detectives are exploring several scenarios.

“In my 32 years in law enforcement, I’ve never seen one of these before,” he added.
