Happy Birthday
A big thank you to the guy in the club shop yesterday who saved my bacon. Went there to purchase a home shirt and shorts for said birthday boy only to find the shop filled with the away kit (he's not sure about that one) and no home shirts Got told they'd had no adult home shirts in for 6 weeks but were due a full supply in the next week or so.... I lamented that that didn't help me as son's birthday was the next day, he suggested a voucher but I declined and said he was old enough to understand etc. Guy then asked what size, (adult small) he tried guiding me towards the X small kids shirt (the only home shirts they had) as I'd said he was going to be 14, but I said he was just short of 6' and was already wearing the adult small. He then said he would check in the back and just like Pablo he turned into a magician and produced an adult small shirt neatly wrapped in sellophane Someone had reserved it but over a week had passed and they hadn't turned up so he'd taken pity on me Yay result. Got Tom 14 on the back and one happy kid this morning.
