(Runs + RBI)/AB = productivity/game time avg (Season Stats*)
This is an attempt to even out the playing field on team leading stats, as some players bat lower in the lineup than others, with the leadoff man having more chances at Runs and cleanup hitter having more chances at RBI's, and most players have had different amounts of time off. I kind of had to rationalize whether to go with PA or AB. I chose AB, because when you walk with the bases loaded, you get an RBI and can also get a Run without an AB. So, I didn't feel that those AB's should go against a players overall productivity, which makes BB's awesome, which they are. This is a power stat as well as HR's produce a Run and an RBI. But, when you knock yourself in, how can that count against you?
Although Murphy tops this list with Brown close behind him, despite the SSS, which is awesome, Olson has moved up to the top. I had to make a leaderboard below it in Runs + RBI's, because that's our bread and butter. Oh, and I just had to throw in Mike Trout's numbers just to say damn after trying to compare... Semien is getting close to Trout in R+RBI. It took a lot more AB's, but it only compliments Semien's iron man season.
