Tommy is the latest victim of the OTEV curse on ‘Big Brother 21’
After a wild, yet-to-be-seen house meeting, Tommy Bracco was evicted from “Big Brother 21” on Thursday, ending his dream of taking home the $500,000. But we told you last month that he wouldn’t win — because he had won OTEV.
Since OTEV was introduced in Season 7, no winner of the iconic Veto comp has gone on to win the show (OTEV was not included in Season 10). Here are all the OTEV champs:

Ryan, Dan, Liz and Tyler have come the closest to winning “Big Brother” with their runner-up finishes in their respective seasons. Dan, of course, won the OTEV-less 10th season and returned in Season 14, which makes him the only person to have won both OTEV and the show — but not in the same season.
Tommy was doomed after he didn’t win the Veto, but he almost managed a great escape when Nicole Anthony and Cliff Hogg III considered flipping the vote to keep him and evict Holly Allen to break up her showmance with Jackson Michie. Alas, Jackson got them all good with a brilliant lie after eavesdropping on Tommy’s pitch to throw the HOH to Cliff and Nicole and win the Veto to evict Jackson, twisting it as a faux offer to cover up his “real” intention of evicting Cliff. That led to the dramatic house meeting, and a torn Cliff and Nicole reluctantly evicting Tommy in fifth place.
So the OTEV curse will live on another year. Will it ever be broken?
