Central Florida improved to 7-1 ATS over its last eight home games with a 62-0 win at home over Florida A&M in its season opener. The Knights followed that up with an impressive 48-14 road win as 13.5-point favorites on the road against Florida Atlantic last Saturday.
It’s hard to believe that this program recorded an 0-12 season just four years ago in 2015; the Knights are 27-1 SU over their last 28 games and have developed into one of the country’s top programs outside of the Power 5 conferences.
In their last five games as a favorite of 9.5 points or less, the Knights are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS according to the OddsShark College Football Database.
Things appeared to be going fine for the Cardinal as they jumped out to an early 17-3 lead on the road against the USC Trojans last Saturday, but from that point forward it was all USC. The Trojans outscored the Cardinal 42-3 down the stretch to roll to an easy 45-20 victory fueled by the excellent quarterback play of true freshman Kedon Slovis.
Stanford is expected to get starting quarterback KJ Costello back this week which will help, but things aren’t going to get any easier for the defense this week against this high-powered UCF attack. The Cardinal are 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games played in Week 3.
Stanford at UCF Betting Total
Saturday’s total is set at 62 points. The UNDER is 10-1 in UCF’s last 11 home games played in the month of September.
Stanford entered the season ranked No. 23, and in theory should be a tough test for the Knights. But given how well the Knights have been rolling and how bad the Cardinal looked on defense last week, it’s going to be tough to go against UCF at home.
