Rest day

Hello Friends,

Wind was SSE 10-15 kts inshore by 0700 on Friday morning. Yesterday’s surprisingly punchy swell seems to have vanished – in line with expectations. It was about a metre at 11 seconds from the SSE out at sea, but as the picture shows it was closer to ankle to knee high at Dee Why. According to the Bureau, the southerly wind should drop back a bit as the day goes along and the swell should perk back up a bit. Whether it gets into your idea of a surfable range remains to be seen.

Both the ECM and Wavewatch models are showing conditions staying micro tomorrow but possibly perking a tiny bit on Sunday before stumbling back into marginal for the front half of next week.

Weather Situation
A cold front moving through Victoria and southern New South Wales has brought a fresh southerly change to the south and central coasts overnight and will reach the far north coast around midday. A high will move across New South Wales in its wake, and should move to the Tasman Sea on Sunday. Another cold front is expected to affect the southern half of the coast later on Monday.
