Texas forced the LSU band to sit in the nosebleed seats in the pettiest move of the college football weekend

The LSU Tigers faced off against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday in the biggest game of Week 2 of the college football season.
The stage was set for a classic game at Texas Memorial Stadium, but the visiting fans had a tough time enjoying the game — not because of what was happening on the field, but because of their seats.
According to WBRZ Baton Rouge, LSU was allocated just 3,000 tickets to the game on Saturday, all of which were in the uppermost level of the stadium.

With a capacity of more than 100,000, this meant that the remaining 97,000 fans in attendance would likely be cheering on the Longhorns.
The light allocation of tickets to the visitors was especially frustrating for the LSU band, who were forced to try and make their mighty sound heard from the nosebleed seats.
On Twitter, fans were quick to point out the hilariously distant seats of the Tigers band.

Some fans took issue with the decision, calling out Texas for the poor accommodations.

In its most generous interpretation, it was a petty, if crafty bit of gamesmanship from the Longhorns. But LSU will get their opportunity for revenge next season, when Texas travels to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.
There's a chance that LSU decides to put the slight behind them, but if I were a member of the Longhorns band heading into next season, I would remember to pack extra sunscreen for the trip to Louisiana.
