AMBER Gill is working on her relationship with Greg O’Shea after fears the Love Island winners have split up.
Earlier today, we reported that fans are speculating the have secretly ended their short-lived romance.
But now a source has claimed that they are working on things together and planning another romantic weekend together in Ireland soon.
“Amber and Greg haven’t split – they are still very much in a relationship,” a source told the Mail Online.
“It has been difficult for them both doing long distance but they’re much together and Amber is really looking forward to seeing Greg again and spending time with him in Ireland.
“The reason they haven’t been pictured together for some weeks is because Amber is managing her time between Newcastle and London and juggling a very busy work schedule.
“Greg lives in Ireland and is concentrating on his rugby career – but they’re still in constant communication and are counting down the days until they’re reunited this weekend.
“Amber flies to Ireland Friday evening. Fans don’t have long to wait until they’re toget
her again.”
The Love Island champions won the public over on the show after being together for only 12 days, but have struggled to see each other outside due to their busy schedules.
The pair haven’t been seen together since 20 August – and haven’t made their relationship official.
She has also made no secret that she misses her beau in both her own social media captions and in the comments of his posts.
However, 22-year-old Newcastle native Amber’s latest Instagram post is the one that ignited rumours of a split.
It shows the pair snuggling up on a lake in Limerick, during Amber’s trip to the rugby player’s, 24, home in Ireland two weeks ago.
The caption reads: “My Babes // Squinty squinterson. Miss ya.”
Despite the happy appearance in the photo, fans are starting to worry something is wrong.
One person wrote: “Please what’s up with you! Make your own announcement please love.”
Another added: “Feel sad that they don’t see each other it would be easier for her if she was his girlfriend but he has his reasons for not asking her hope she doesn’t get tired of waiting.”
Someone even accused them of faking the relationship, saying: “Drop the act.”
While on Twitter someone pointed they haven’t been seen interacting: “Oh I was like I haven’t seen them interacting but maybe they just keeping it on the low.”
It looked even worse when Greg posted a photo of other Love Islander Jordan Hames and his pal at the races in Killarney together.
Amber posted: “Wish I could have been there!! Next time.”
Greg didn’t respond to the post.
However, Amber’s team have denied rumours of the split. Their rep told The Sun Online: “These rumours are complete rubbish. They categorically have not split.”
In early August, Amber told the Loose Women panel that a long distance relationship would be “hard work”.
She said at the time: “We’re taking it slowly, [the distance] is going to be hard, but if you want to make something work you put the effort in, you go to the ends of the earth to be with them.”
