Guerciotti "Sprint" ALAN bike Salvaged

This usually doesn't happen twice in a year never mind twice in a week. Another Italian racer that has seen better days; so sad! Rusted steel parts and some alloy corrosion on the frame. It has a Pletscher clamp-on rack that is attached with zip-ties at the holes for the hub adjusters (both missing). I was concerned about the clamping on the alloy stays, but I found no deformation of the stays, and the clamp wasn't excessively tight when removed. Guerciotti badged/panto'd ALAN frame with a rusty Victory groupset (Triomphe hubs). Also I believe it's another Ten Speed Drive bike; I have 2 of these frames sold as complete bikes in the US under the Gerciotti and Tommaso badges. All 3 are identical frames except color (both Guerciottis have red anodized frames while the Tommaso is black anodized with brand decals; all frames are 54x54 ST/TT). This frame has "CORSA187" etched into the upper right side of the seat tube; other frames, Guerciotti and Tommaso, have "TOURIST486" and "1286" etched in the same area respectfully. I'm not sure as to the significance of the "TOURIST" and "CORSA" since the are identical, but I believe the numbers "187, 486, and 1286" are month/year date codes; I don't know if it relates to the actual manufacture date, or the date of build-up when they were in the US. Amazingly, the components all function ok, excepting the chain which has froze up; and still having the OE Campagnolo cables. It doesn't appear to have been crashed; brake lever blades are in great condition with original hoods; skewers have very little scarring for their age. It looks like it was living a life of ease near the ocean, with very low chainwheel wear, and minimal cable "gouging" wear on the bottom bracket shell. Frame shows no separation at lug/tube junctions, and it should clean up nicely. It has a Cinelli stem/Cinelli Giro d'Italia bar, SR Laprade fluted post (OE?), and San Marco Lady Anatomica saddle (OE?). I have put many miles on this type of bike, including a criterium race, and have never felt uncomfortable being an alloy frameset. Ambrosio Super Elite tubular rims with nearly unused (but aged) Kenda Kampaign 23mm tires. Should make for a very good ride with some clean components installed.
