[Football] Tiger Football on NCN Again this Season

For the fourth consecutive season, Doane University is excited to announce a partnership with News Channel Nebraska for coverage of Doane Tiger football games. 

News Channel Nebraska will have live television coverage of all five home football games: 

Thursday, August 29 vs. Ottawa University (AZ) -- 7:00pm
Saturday, September 28 vs. Hastings College -- 1:00pm
Saturday, October 12 vs. University of Jamestown -- 1:00pm (Homecoming)
Saturday, October 19 vs. Dordt College -- 1:00pm (video stream only)
Saturday, November 2 vs. Morningside College -- 1:00pm

Broadcasts of Tiger football on News Channel Nebraska can be seen statewide on several cable providers throughout the state, including Spectrum (channel 98). All home games will also be available online at https://southeast.newschannelnebraska.com/upcoming. 

Brandon Aksamit will provide the play-by-play for NCN while Alec Piper will serve as the color commentator.

Doane's season opener on Thursday, August 29 against Ottawa University (AZ) is notable for a number of reasons. It marks Doane's first home Thursday night football game since 1948 and it is also the first home night game the Tigers have had in five years. Additionally, it is the first time the Doane football team has ever played a school in Arizona. 

The Tigers are coming off a 6-4 campaign in 2018 under then first-year Head Coach Chris Bessler. Doane's full 2019 football schedule can be viewed here.
