"I'll be prepared for it when we go again. If we go again. If not, respect always."
Three year ago to this very day Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz put on a show in their second fight, a fight that McGregor won via decision at UFC 202.
It’s was a five-round slugfest that really could have gone either way.
On Tuesday, McGregor shared his feelings on that fight and also congratulated Diaz on his victory over Anthony Pettis last Saturday at UFC 241.
McGregor was impressed with Diaz’s game plan against Pettis and also said he’d be ready if he and Diaz were able to run it back for a trilogy fight – which many fans would love to see.
3 years to the day myself and this Mexican warrior went to war.
Congrats on the win this weekend Nate, it was motivating to see it for my own comeback. I don’t blame you not mentioning me for the trilogy bout post fight, you know what I’m like when I get going. Vicious.
I loved the round 3 style from round 1 that you implemented. It’s what I was hoping you would implement for this bout and was glad to see you do it.
I’ll be prepared for it when we go again. If we go again.
If not, respect always. A war for the ages. No b***** talk. Just real s***.
Here’s the post he shared:
Diaz, of course, called out Jorge Masvidal after his win on Saturday. But you have to think a third fight between McGregor will happen some day.
Diaz did say Saturday night that he wants the fights that fans want to see, and considering how the first two Diaz-McGregor fights set PPV records, a third would be such a money fight.
