PAUL POGBA went out of his way to applaud each corner of Old Trafford after Manchester United beat Chelsea 4-0 – but admits there are still serious doubts over his future.
Pogba, 26, looked a different character to the one who ended last season embroiled in a bitter argument with a fan following the final-day defeat to Cardiff.
This time he supplied an amazing assist for Marcus Rashford’s second-half goal.
And at full time he went over to each corner of the ground to thank the fans for their support.
The World Cup winner also took in plenty of applause and handed his shirt to a fan.
But he insists a “question mark remains” over his future after being strongly linked with Real Madrid all summer – a link he himself boosted when saying he needed a “new challenge”.
Midfielder Pogba said: “Obviously there have been things said but only time will tell.
“This question mark remains. However, as I said, I am here in Manchester.
“I enjoy playing with my team-mates and I always want to win every game. I always give it everything.
“I am always good whenever I play football. It is what I love – it is my job.
“I give the maximum each time I am on the green pitch.”
